OUR STATE & LOCAL AFFILIATES

We are excited to help our colleagues develop local and state focused Fathers & Families Coalitions as affiliated extensions of Fathers & Families Coalitions of America, Inc. We will share our resources to support each coalition. FFC was developed through entities throughout Arizona and expanded to colleagues across our nation. We have a national scope of services through professional development, network and coalition building that is critical to the successful realization of our mission.

In 2008, we broaden our approach with State & Local Affiliated Fathers & Families Coalition Chapters who share focus on the prevention of fatherlessness, promotion of responsible and involved fathers, professional development of practitioners to develop father inclusive services, promotion of healthy relationships to ultimately benefit children. Each State & Local Affiliate is similar in many of the activities they support and implement - advocacy, public awareness, training/education, and coalition building activities among other formal and informal networks and FFC memberships.

Each State & Local Fathers & Families Coalition Chapters are also independent of one another and unique in terms of the kinds of strategies and programming they offer.  However, we will all work together to assist the capacity building of programs, policy, community education, and fund development to effectively provide services for children, mothers, and fathers. Our Fathers & Families Coalition Chapters not only share our mission, but are community minded in focus, and adhere to the same common criteria and required elements. Through quarterly affiliate meetings and an annual affiliate meeting we will be able to assist each other through capacity building strategies that build on strengths and collaboration. Fathers & Families Coalition, Inc.'s approach to new Fathers & Families Coalition Chapter development is to bring key stakeholders in a State & Local together to discuss the State & Local's fathers and families needs, as well as whether an existing organization is positioned to pursue the Fathers & Families Coalition Chapter charter in that State & Local communities.

To become an affiliate there will be a process of enrollment to include program assessment, site visit, and developing a plan together to help each chapter build the structure to be an affiliate of FFC. If being involved in such an effort appeals to you, please feel free to contact us at affiliate@azffc.org or 602-301-2947.
