The father-daughter relationship is a unique and often overlooked relationship. Fathers teach their daughters how to regard themselves, what kinds of relationships are healthy, and what to look for in a partner. At a time in our community when economic conditions place families under pressure to sustain and thrive, we believe it is important to recognize fathers who have effectively parented their daughters to ensure their long-term growth and development.
